Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on May 26, 2007 at 5:45 PM.  

Opened with the Justice Prayer recited by all present.

Present:  Matha H., Sister Sarah, Leona W., Jim Y., Christy N.

Approved minutes of March 11, 2007 Parish Council Meeting.

Committee Reports:  Finance Committee; reviewed the financial report.

Building and Grounds:  Emergency lights installed in the basement by Jim Y.; inventory of computers and electronics.  Sister and Susan will take digital picture of all electronics.  Rich Smith will redo steps in front of church.  The doors on the front of the church have been scraped and repainted.  Roger D. repaired the sprinkler system.  Dishwasher will not be repaired in the Parish hall, will need to be removed. 

Liturgy Committee:  Confirmation, May crowning, Graduates honored, Ministers of Holy Communion training; New guidelines for purification of vessels, have all been completed.

Education Committee: Generations of Faith, last event had 33 teens and adults in attendance.  Religious formation concluded for the year.  All teachers must be certified by May 2008 in order to teach religious education.

Old business: Reception after confirmation discussed.  A draft for the old by-laws was found, but the Diocesan office does not have a copy on file.  Sister asked that we each review the draft and we will discuss it at the next meeting. 

New business:  Habitat for Humanity, Sister received a letter asking for a liaison from our parish for the Habitat for Humanity.  A discussion was held and we decided to let this go for now.  Father asked if we wanted to change the Sat. night Mass in Sept. to correspond with Daylight Savings time.   Jim Y. motioned that we leave the Mass schedule the same, Leona seconded that motion.  Motion passed.

Next meeting date July 7, 2007 at 5:45 pm in the rectory.
